    Good day
I need your help with on how to use the formula above.
    lets say i earn R 28 000 per month.
Please give a detailed calculation of my taxes, am getting different answers from the tables above and the tax calculator.

    Kind regards

  2. Baden says:

well that would mean that your annual gross income is R336000 assuming you have no other income, allowable deductions and no exempt income and you’re younger than 65 your tax calculation will be as follows for the year ending 28 Feb 2014.

    53096+30%(336000-258750)=76271
less the primary rebate of R12080 =64191

if you have a medical aid then you would qualify for tax credits and if you have a pension or retirement annuity that you contribute towards the you would have allowable deductions.

Thanks @Baden for the response. Baden’s response is the same as the one that the Tax Calculator gives you.

Remember on the Tax Calculator page, all you need to do is type your monthly salary of R28000, it will then give you monthly tax, and the annual tax, as calculated by Baden above.
